2009 Playoffs

There will be 7 teams that make the playoffs. The top 3 seeds will receive byes to the semi-finals. The #4 through #7 seeds will fight for the remaining semi-final spot in a single elimination Play-In Bracket.

The #6 seed will play the #5 seed in the first round of the Play-In Bracket.

The #7 seed will play the #4 seed in the first round of the Play-In Bracket.

PLAY-IN BRACKET

The play-in bracket is single elimination. The higher seed is the home team for each game (3 is a higher seed than 5).

BEST-OF-3 SERIES

The Semi-Finals and Finals are Best-of-3 Series. The higher seed will be the home team for game 1 and game 3 (if necessary). The lower seed is the home team for Game 2. (3 is a higher seed than 5)

TWO-TEAM TIEBREAKER SYSTEM

(used if records are identical between 2 Teams)

  1. head to head record
  2. head to head offensive runs
  3. total offensive runs in league
  4. head to head run differential
  5. total run differential in league

THREE-TEAM TIEBREAKER SYSTEM

(used if records are identical between 3 or more Teams)

Note: If two teams remain tied after third or other teams are eliminated, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of the TWO-TEAM SYSTEM

  1. head to head win % against games involving all tied teams
  2. head to head offensive runs against games involving all tied teams
  3. total offensive runs in league
  4. head to head run differential against games involving all tied teams
  5. total run differential in league
